Alright, so i have a 97 NT. the fuel pump is not kicking on and im not getting any spark. the story: the past 2 weeks ive noticed a little bit of 'bucking' or hessitation. Friday night, i was on my way home from a friends and it bucked really hard in first gear then it bucked again while in 3rd before it completely died. I had the car towed home and installed a new fuel pump....still not kicking on. After searching all 500 threads related to my problem, i tried replacing the CAMshaft sensor, still not spark/no fuel. im about to go get a relay for the fuel pump as well as the auto shut down relay. i may go ahead and get the CRANKshaft sensor too. If any of these do not work, do you guys think its the computer? i dont have anything to test with so buying all new sensors is the way im going. Please, if any of you have ANY info as to whats causing my no spark/no fuel issue, please post.

I know its not getting spark because i had my gf crank the car over while i had a plug wire out with a screwdriver shoved inside and held it next to anything that would create spark. Nothing.

I know the fuel pump is not kicking on bcuz ill turn the key and i dont hear anything like i normally would.:aha:

Thanx in advance!

You need to get either a test light( not preferred) or a DVOM and test for power at the ASD relay packs. If you are not getting power to the ASD relays then you will not get fuel or spark. Not saying that is the issue, but just replacing parts is an expensive way to "work" on a car. Identify, Isolate, Eliminate.

you could of lost your asd relay and coil pack. stop buying sensors and get a voltage meter its cheap or buy a power probe which is better then a test light. find out where your power cuts out then go from there. do you have ay cel on? you know anyone else with an eclipse? swap ecu's for a minute and if it helps or find one at a junk yard. its cheaper then buying sensors which were porbably not the issue.
