Shiloh,
I was getting the talon properly broke in tonight after the fuel pump install(@16psi), and from a launch from first to second (shifting at 6600) second took forever to lock into place. I could feel it spinning/grinding, but didn't go in until it reved down to about 4k rpms. I tried this a few times, and second wouldn't go in very fast at all. The transmission was rebuilt less than 30k miles ago, wtf is going on? It only goes in if I hold it into place real hard and drop the clutch, but sometimes it doesn't go in still. I still have second under normal driving conditions without grind, but at WOT its not shifting like it should. Any pointers/ideas?

i got that problem when i installed an aftermarket clutch in my car... My problem was my clutch wasn't disengaging enough. I tried the braided steel line, bleeding the cylinders over and over. But the only thing that fixed it was to put a longer rod in my slave cylinder. (and my pivot ball and all are in good condition yet)

dunno if you wanna try that, but that fixed my problem. my car shifts perfectly now at any rpm

Sounds like a broken shift fork to me.They usually break around the holding pin.Thats why I'm sure 1st works great ,second feels sloshy.I've replaced them one after another.Has alot to do with shifting techniques

If that was the case, shouldn't my 2-3 shift be crappy as well, the only problem is the 1-2. BTW would This be related to the fact that when I rev past 5k with the clutch pushed in all the way my car still creeps forward?

Would the height of my clutch pedal effect any of this? it is only 4 inches off the floor and it engages when it is let out about 2 inches.

I've done some reading, and from what it seems, it is more of a problem of clutch disengagement, rather than transmission itself. My pedal seems to be getting stoped on the way back up. I pushed up on the pedal and it moves up another 1-1.5 inches. And if I push it in it only comes back out 4 inches rather than 5-5.5. I talked to dad (who did the clutch job when my throwout bearing disintegrated) and he said he replaced almost EVERYTHING when the clutch was done. Step height was correct, new master cylinder, slave cylinder, fork, pivot ball, etc.... The only thing not done were the lines. And he said he bled the lines several times and adjusted the pedal all the way out. I've read TRE's clutch tips, and RRE's and nothing seems to be useful. Anyone have further advice? I will try to tweak the pedal myself, but I doubt I'll get much accomplished through that. I'm stumped.

BTW if a mod would change the title of this thread to better show the real problem I would appreciate it.
