2G car won't go into first or second gear

Car won't go into first or second gear this is a problem when the car is on OR off. It just will not go at all, but it goes into 3rd,4th,5th and reverse. I've tried bleeding the clutch but it didn't help. Any ideas? Thanks everybody.

Check your shaft seals and if ok maybe the synchro for 1/2 needs to be replaced

Well the synchro seems pretty well lined up it's just like pushing into a brick wall when I try to put it in 1st or 2nd. I could probably make it go but it seems like I'd break something

How do you know the synchro is OK. Have you done some work on your tranny lately? Have you tried to switch gears by hand. You can grab the thing that is connected to the end of the shifter cables and try to put it on 1st and 2nd. See if that works so we can eliminate some of the stuff between you and the tranny

Bent or missing shift fork. Mine had the same problem with 3rd and 4th.

Probably something like that. I had the same problem and it was the shift rail for 1/2 gear. I used the better (non scratched one) from another tranny but it always stucked in it's seat when trying to shift. Put my scratched one and it works perfectly again.

Did anyone have any resolution to this? i got in my car this morning and tried going out of my driveway so I put it in reverse and backed out. when i started going down the street I had 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, R. but after I shifted out of 1, 2 I was not able to go back to them for the duration of my trip. 3rd gear pulls on a hill from a dead stop dont work without eating up the clutch... so I'm not happy.. any help would be great.
