*im not sure where to post this*

i have a 95 eagle talon tsi. ive had a problem where the car wont start for awhile now.brought to a mechanic and he hooked it up to diagnostics.the car has spark, fuel, fuel pressure, ecu is reading ok,all sensors are reading ok (which i know dont mean anything)he says there is no "scientifc reason" the car shouldnt start...yet it wont. my compression was 150 across the board(im guessing is still ok,being its above the service limit...i mean it is a 155k engine)

Most mechanic's know absolutely nothing other than what their diagnistic machine tells them. Verify yourself that it has a strong spark, fuel, and compression. Also verify that cam timing is correct.

i have double checked his work...im going to replace all sensors. anyone have any suggestions on which sensors to start with?

Get yourself a factory service manual and test the sensors before you replace them. Unless you can get them for free you would be looking at a huge bill. Do you have a check engine light on?

The first thing I would check is the ecu, the capacitors tend to leak and damage the ecu. Remove the ecu, pull the cover off and look at the board directly around the capacitors. If they leaked there will be obvious corrosion and discoloration.

Make sure the coolant temperature sensor is plugged in and the wires aren't damaged. The wires commonly get brittle and break at the connector. This will cause the car to not start.

I said it in my previous post, you didn't mention if you checked it, but cam timing is very important, you should definitely check it.

ill have to double check the wires on the collant temp sensor.im thinking thats the problem.im going to check the ecu...although i thought only the 1g had the ecu problem.the computer was sending signal during diagnostics and read ok, but i dont trust it.:sosad: also timing is perfect...been checked 4 times:confused: i really need this car up and running, i gotta get it back to north florida...im stuck down here in the keys( ) for now.

thanks for the help...im going to try every idea....
ive put $600 aside for sensors...if its a sensor ill find it.

replaced the coolant temp sensor and it started. the code came back up(p0125) but i flushed my entire collant system, got a thermostat and cap and it hasnt came back.
