:dsm:Its a lot easier to get it to fit wit out wrinkling if you start from what would be the front of the car and work back towards the speaker.

i am using the 3M 80 for rubber and vinyl,

i think it should be fine, but thanks for the heads up!

What are you using for adhesive?

I did this back in '05 and I used 3M Super90. After one week in the summer heat, everything began to loose adhesion and fall apart. I've since replaced all of my panels and painted/dyed them all.

EDIT: how did you dye the plastic? if mine ends up like that then i wanna know how ya did that

Thanks

One thing I would do... If you use a spray adhesive, make sure you spray the fabric and spray what the fabric is going to be put on. Let the spray glue dry to both of them, them put the fabric on your interior piece. It will be much stronger than puting them together with the glue still wet. Another thing, when you get a farbic, make sure to get something a little stretchy so you can work with it.

I have covered tons and tons of stuff this way and never had a problem. In fact I did my eclipse's headliner and the car sat outside the entire summer and it is still just like the day I did it.

yea i am almost done with the parts with the rear speakers, i sanded down the plastic, and then sprayed it with the 3M 80, then hot glued around the edges to hold it there

I bought some stuff online that's called "SEM dye". I had a couple cans laying around, so I tried it on some plastic and it worked well. I've also had great success with Rustoleum "paint for plastics".

This looks great, I'm sick of my grey interior too...is your dash and everything grey too. I'd like to see some pics of it completed and maybe get some tips from you if thats cool. let me kno

for the rear seats im just going to get some black seat covers. for the front i want new black seats, but for now i might just settle with some seat covers too.

my dash the part where the air bag is pealed off and i dont hav that, i just bought the car LOL, but it has a gray carpet dash cover thing that i might dye to black.

i was thinking about cleaning and dying the carpet black. or if i can find black carpet just getting a new one. as long as its not expensive

Nice, theres a set of black back seats on ebay that look great and you can get a carpet for around 100$ on there too. Make sure you post some pics of it done because like I said I'm def. up for doin this...

i went to Joans fabric's for it. they have another type that is glossy but it does not look as good, and is not as stretchy, make sure it is stretchy
