I just bought my 1995 GSX and I posted in the newbie forum and got some great help and info. I came into this one to get a little more specific.

In the back of my car the back of the seats are still there and they are leather, but the bottoms were taking out to bolt the harnesses down for the Sparco racing seats. I really want to get rid of the racing seats, rails, and harnesses. My question is about the leather interior.

Would it be more cost effective to buy new replacement leather interior pieces, and if so where could I get them?

I also need a whole new dash kit and I want it all to be OEM color and trim, not carbon fiber. Anyone have any ideas where I can get that?

Get access to the marketplace or ebay. Until you become a little more known, I'm not sure people will want to sell. What color are you trying to go?

I'm trying to go the original black leather.

Black is pretty nice. Rare and pricey though. I'm still trying to get a driver door panel and I'm not bothering with front seats. Some people want $400-600 just for the seats OMG. Good luck with the search. If you have oem leather interior, you can dye/paint it. There are threads on here about that. I'm considering dying the fronts.

Haha, well I'd like to get the OEM leather seats that are in PERFECT shape. I realize it'd be expensive, but I really want to get them back in there and get rid of these hideous racing seats. Haha.

Well, like I said...good luck. It'll take a while as they don't pop up often. Only came in the 99 eclipse

Looks like I need to find me a totaled '99 eclipse!

Unless you are lucky you will not find a 99 with all black leather. AND on top of that if you want to match your GSX ONLY powered leather seat, then that is even more rare to find on a 99.

That is a fact.

Prepare to be patient for a long time, unless--as ive said, you get lucky.

And don't bother trying to buy every single part from the dealership or any OEM parts distributor because you will probably spend more than your car is worth.

Grey leather is easy to find.

Any place sell replica OEM seats of gray OR black?

Hi Dave I agree with redturboeclipse Black is almost non exsistent. In 9 years I have acquired only a couple sets of door panels and a complete black dash pad assy, and console. I have 1 friend who has a 99 OZ with black interior and won't give it up.

You can buy aftermarket Black carpet which is nice and is close but the heel pad is totally different from OEM.

The aftermarket reproduction arena hasn't quite yet begun to roll on OEM discontinued parts YET.

If you going the resto OEM route your 95 had Grey. If your dead set on black you will have to dye and refinish all the trim yourself. I wish you luck.

Hm... Well in that case I would probably end up just going OEM gray leather, but that still be seems to be hard to find. At least in good condition.

Gray isn't as hard to find. IMO the only reason why you don't see many dsmers selling there interior parts is because they may have aquired better interior and one day maybe an accident or a sell happens and want to switch out the new with the old. I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do with mine still if I want to save and wait or eventually sell.

I guess that makes sense. I really want to replace the whole interior... Including the dash and center console, along with all the trim pieces.

Ive found that the easiest way to find these interiors is to just scan the local autotrader, or craigslist ads. I just bought a wrecked 99 GS spyder that is black on black on black. love the leather, and was thinking of swapping into my RS. But the RS already has the all blue interior which is hard enough to find replacements for, and i havent heard of anyone who rocks the blue so i think ima keep it the way it is. The only thing that wont swap from a spyder is the back of the rear seat, and the rear quarter panels.
