I say keep them and leave them alone and spend the money on dsmlink or a logger instead of painting or powdercoating them.

Stick to the color you have, it works well with the color of the car

If the tires are shot, then I would get new wheels, especially if you're building the car for autox. Definitely something wider so that you can run at least a 235 - 245 tire, if not more (more won't be achieved so easily).

thanks for the input snowboarder...unfortunately this is going to be a budget autocross build since im waiting on a raise from work in the next few months.

Until then, I wont be able to afford a decent wheel/tire combo to allow a 235-245 wheel. Unless you have some suggestions.

On a budget? Look for a set of used Evo wheels.
