So I was set on getting 8.3:1 Wiseco pistons for my build, but then I found Wossner pistons that are supposed to be a bit better than the Wisecos, they are compared to the Wiseco HDs, but they only come in 8.0:1.

This is coming from stock 8.5:1, will there be such a noticeable difference in going down to 8.0:1, such as off boost power/spool time, and has anyone heard anything about Wossner pistons? I haven't been able to find any info/results about them being used in DSM applications.

Now I'm just confused again and don't know what to order haha

Thanks.

I like them, they are pretty beefy. I haven't done a full pass on them yet. but so far so good. one thing of advice though. if you do get them, they come with a low P2W clearance, i actually went with .45 but i don't know how extreme your going. My only argument and this is with all forged pistons. why is there never any Webbing on the bottome side of the piston.

Plans are 450ish whp, what do you recommend for clearance?

well i had a chance to talk to Wossner this year at Sema, and when i talked to there rep, he was telling me that the clearance they recommend is for a low HP car. i think when you convert it, they recommend .29. this is the scale they basically gave me

300-400 =.29
400-500 =.34
500-649 =.40
650-750 = .45
751+ = .50
