Dont even bother on a street car, just to run e-85 you would need: 10an feed line, a1000 fuel pump, 2 10an fuel filters, 8 large injectors, aem or better. that and metonal burns almost twice as fast as normal gas so you will be filling up quite a bit.

A normal injection kit from coolingmist is more than enough for a street car. In my car and a friend with an auto both run there biggest injector on 35r's. I never got back to the track since i put it on but he went 11.0 with 30psi and a 50shot all on a full weight street trim auto, no cams or smim, my car (spd.) i was getting NO knock on boost up to 35psi untill my stock block ripped the wrist pin off the piston :rocks:

Yeah, i know what i need, but i need to know what is compatible.

I DO NOT NEED 8 injectors for 33 percent more fuel
10 an is not needed, 8 works great.
2 walbro 255's does the work just fine
It isn't methanol man, it is ethanol, little different.

I am not running a jillion horse setup. 500 max foe me. I am making probably a little over 400 on race gas now. I would likely need some 1,200 injectors, that would get the job done pretty easily.

Personaly I prefer 10:1 and meth injection.
If you just want whats the most idiot tuner friendly go with a small turbo a afc and low compression.
If you are looking for hp go with high compression and a dsmlink or aem with a tuner that knows what they are doing.

im still trying to understand this high compression thing on a turbo engine.
Isnt running less compression and more timing/boost better than running more compression less timing with more boost?

as in isnt this timing + boost - compression
better than this compression - timing + boost

Because I know you cant run a lot of timing and compression...
And were mainly speaking of a pump gas car here anyway.
I mean dont get me wrong I like the idle of added compression here thats
why I went with 8:5.1 compression pistons here on my motor build
( which ended up with a spun bearing ) and now I have stock 1g pistons because I
couldnt afford the cost to wrist pin the 2g to the new rods again.

You don't need a bunch of fancy stuff to run e85. I ran it for about a year on a walbro 255, aeromotive fpr, and 550cc injectors. Everything looked fine when I tore the car down. Yes, it does require about 30% more fuel to be added. I just bumped the fuel pressure up accordingly. Good stuff. Definitely feel a difference because you can run more boost and get better timing advance. I will be running e85 on my next DSM.
