I have been having some transmission problems lately, at first it was a clutch that had a very low engagement, than it started getting to the point where it started to grind when entering gears, I had to let the car roll a bit for it to go in. Now I am very worried because my cars rpm is taking forever to increase in fourth gear now, its grinds in 1st, 4rth, and reverse pretty bad and 2nd, 3rd and 5th sometimes need a little wiggle to get it to go in that gear. It is worse when I am trying to put it into gear from a dead stop especially 1st, 4rth, and reverse.

 Please tell me that my transmission isnt on its way out :banghead: I just got done installing my new clutch a few months ago, up until now the car ran like a champion.

Please?

Which clutch do you have? manufacturers tell you to re-adjust the clutch cable when you "break it in". It could be that the clutch is not fully disengaging the flywheel when the clutch is fully pressed in. Either that or your synchro's are slowly fading away.

I have a xtd stage four 4 puck sprung, I resurfaced my flywheel when I did my clutch, I bled my clutch yesterday and the problem is still there.

I didnt see where you mentioned adjusting the clutch pedal. Did you get underneath the dash and adjust that? If there wasn't anything wrong with the transmission before the clutch, and all of a sudden you are having all this problem with it, it sounds like you need to adjust the engagement if you haven't already. The give away was the clutch engaging really low. Its sounds like its dragging, which isnt letting it disengage all the way. If this is what's happening, you are killing that tranny quickly.

Also, I havent had a 1G in about 17 years, and mine were pretty new back then, but I know there is a problem with the pedals in those needing to be rebuilt.

Here is one of the threads on it.

Also check out ShepTrans, scroll down to the 1G pedal assembly, it tells you this is the reason 1Gs have trouble getting the clutch to release. Look into these 2 things.
