I was driving normally down a road around my neighborhood when suddenly while driving through an intersection my car bottomed out pretty roughly. As soon as the bottom out occurred I lost power to the car. I immediately coasted my way into a parking lot to do my S.T.A.R Check. ( Stop. Think. And Review). Nothing could be seen that was out of the ordinary. I checked underneath the car nothing is missing or damaged just some metal scrapped on the bottom engine mount. When I try to start the car it will start and run for about 3 seconds then die.

Now I would like to give as much information about what I have done to try and figure this out on my own already.

1.Checked my Intercooler piping for noticeable damage. No Damage
2.Could not be a massive boost leak because I run a GM MAS/w Recirc and everything behind that is boost leak free.
3.Checked any plugs that may have possibly wiggled apart. Nothing found.
4. Looked at things through ECM link v2. No CEL being thrown.
5. Checked fuses.

Anyone have any input or suggestions?

Thanks for the space.

I've been helping a bit on this issue as well.

All plugs in the engine bay that are supposed to be plugged in are.

His setup is"

7bolt block
DSMLink v2
GM MAF with MAf-Translator
all Dejon FMIC piping
Battery relocated to the trunk
fuel pump re-wire
evo3 16g
850CC injectors

That's all I can think about.

With the DSMLink ECU, it would catch and then sputter within a few seconds, every time. I do not think he has the FIAV / ISC block off. He also has all his emissions stuff removed. Foot on the gas, foot off the gas, it doesn't matter.

We swapped in the stock ECU and set the MAF-T to the proper settings and it would just crank and crank and crank, it wouldn't catch at all.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Since it runs for about 3 seconds, I'm assuming you are getting spark.

My guess is that it is something on the fuel side. Double check all the wiring to the fuel pump and battery to make sure that something didn't come loose and is not making intermittent contact.

If I turn the fuel pump on via DSMLink, it stays on and the fuel pressure is at 42 (approx). I will go through all the connections tomorrow. Also, it's not a full on start, it's not like it's running, it's like it's sputtering to run and then dies.

soulds like somewhere you have a mssive boost leak I would do a BLT just in case. Sometimes visual inspections aren't always what can rule it all out

That or maybe you smashed the fuel line (considering its on the chassis). Check for a boost leak, and make sure the fuel line isnt smashed. It might get 42 psi, but if the line is smashed it cant keep it.

Massive boost leak wont effect him unless the boost leak is between the GM MAF and the throttle body / intake manifold. Since he is running blow thru and it's about 10 inches from the throttle body. I'm pretty sure he could take off all the intercooler piping and just have the maf-t there and the car would run just fine (if it was already running fine that is), or am I wrong about how the GM MAF works?

The only parts I have visually seen any damage is on the bottom of the front motor mount. There is also no fuel smell while running the pump through DSMLink

well just because there is no fuel smell doesn't mean the line isn't pinched without rupturing it could just be stopping fuel to getting to the engine . Did you check the injectors to see if they have been shootin ?
