ok so this just started happening i go into boost but then its stops at 6k and its start popping and backfiring.is that boost creep..fuel cut or what:confused:..when im sittin still i can hit the gas all teh way down and it revs up to 7500 redline

check for leaks and also check your spark plugs gap when are not gapped properly starts popping hoe much boost are you running?

yea i put my old plugs back but teh gap was off only on one plug cause i changed it and accidently dropped it on the ground.wasnt by much though.and im running stock boost 12psi

Probably something in the ignition system, although a slight boost leak I had once caused similar problems, it wasn't fuel cut, but it was causing me to run too rich probably, making the car miss out.

Plugs and wires are always the first thing to check with something like this. Try lowering the plug gap to .026 and see what happens.

yea it doesnt feel likea fuel cut it feels like a miss then it starts to pop..ima try a boost leak test and see if that solves it my car was runnin rich for a lil while when the bov came unplugged.could that be part of the problem

+1

I once had an issue when my vehicle would start to pop/back fire at higher RPMS after raising the boost pressure. I reduced the gap on the plugs and that reduced the back firing quite a bit.

how do i reduce the gap??..i know you use the gapper to increase the gap but how to i reduce them properly??

o ok thats what i had to do with one of the plugs but i didnt do it to the others..thanks guys ima try it and see ### happens
