I have serached and searched and haven't found an answer so if this has hapened to anyone please help. A stupid friend of mine asked to take out my car, he has a 11 sec Stealth RT/TT so i figured he know how to drive it. After I got it back I had to leave and go 1/2 hour away to hang out with some friends. Got on the expressway and floored it to see the girl that just pasted and my boost was changed to 21lbs :shhh: . I had it set at 18 with plenty of extra fuel and man was 21lbs fun until I heard something pop  . It was pitch black out and I had though I blew my turbo, motor, or clutch. Car started back up but wouldn't go past 2k rpms and if I let off the gas it would die. Got it towed and I blew an intercooler hose right off. They put it back on and it will idle, but still can't go past 2k rpms.
If anyone knows what this is, please help OMG .
Thank you in advance, Chad

ahh are you sure that you only blew one IC pipe off, check it make sure its tight, not leaking air out, also check the maf and make sure that is plug in. you might have lost the clamp so get a new one if thats the case.

Eeek, I dont know man, your car sounds like it did EXACTLY what mine did...

I have a engine knock though....... basically I couldnt get past 4k RPM after my turbo blew, Ive been searching my ass off but i cant find the answer to what would have caused it, i hope you find out for both of us :p

Decided to have someone more knowledgable about DSMs look at it (guys who had it were freaking out because there isn't much left on the car that is stock). Only thing that sucks other than having to dish out more money that I don't have is them scraping my front bumper again (1st time they towed it I heard it). I really think its just an IC pipe not connected, think some nice t-bolt clamps should help that.
I will let everyone know what happens.
Thanks for not saying crankwalk or something else huge, big sigh of relief.

You didnt check the lower and upper intercooler pipes yet? Dont send it to a shop until you do, they will rape you. Please check your pipes first, it really sounds like a pipe that came loose. (mine did that once after i cleaned my intercooler i didnt tighten one down all the way) Its seriously a 1 minute fix if that is what it is.

I'm going to go to the shop where it's at and check the pipes first thing in the morning. If all the pipes are on tight, what else could it be?

Went to the shop to make write down what my SAFC settings were. Once I got there they told me that the MAF was reading 0 across the board and they tried messing with the MAF while the car was running and even putting a new one on. I got under the hood, disconnected it, reconnected it, started it up and the car ran just as it did before i blew the IC pipe off. I feel like a retard, cause thats all that was wrong with it, but the mechanics spent 3 hours on it and couldn't get it to run. :D I am so happy it wasn't something major. So tomorrow I get it back and finally get to race my buddy with a 300ZX TT. OMG
