Okay so...first my car wouldn't go past 5000 rpms in any gear.
There was a tapped hole in my 1g bov. I put a bolt in there
With some sealer and now 1st and 2nd will go past 5k rpms
But 3rd won't? And I'm pretty sure fourth won't either. So sick
Of this car already....any sugestions?

It doesn't really matter which catch can you use. There must be at least one inlet and one outlet (some have multiple inlets) and it shouldn't be vented. A vented setup would be bad because the air that is escaping the valve cover through the nipple has been metered by the MAF and you don't want to give metered air a chance to escape to the atmosphere.

You asked about size. Increased catch can volume will only increase the time it takes to fill the thing and therefore requiring it to be emptied.

From your pictures I noticed that your intake doesn't have a nipple for the original valve cover line. If you get a catch can to go between the valve cover nipple and the injen intake, then you will need to either:
  1. get a new intake or
  2. have a bung welded to your current Injen intake to connect the line to.
This is exactly the same position that I have found myself in. I have ordered the Calan VS1 catch can and will be drilling a hole in my Dejon intake and attaching an -8AN fitting to the new hole with J.B. Weld. I am using J.B. Weld because I don't care to pay the local shop the $100 that they quoted to do it.

Keep in mind that we haven't definitively found the source of the problem. And while it's okay to replace parts, they might not solve the problem at hand. Any additional time spent researching and better dianosing the problem now, will GREATLY reduce the cost of fixing the problem!

That being said, if you aren't on a budget and you would need to get these parts in the future anyway, then I would definitely pull the trigger and order away.

℉@©k it I'm just going to buy 2' of intercooler coupler. The
Oil catch can, and a new bov. Is that a good idea, or could I possibly
Need a new gasket to my throttle body, erg valve or possibly if I have a leak
From an injector?

Both a TB gasket and a leak from an injector wouldn't prevent you from performing a BLT. In fact, with the engine off, you should hear a distinct hiss from both of these guys if they are a problem.

You might have one big boost leak and possibly several small ones. If you patch one, congratulate yourself, maybe even pat yourself on the back but before you go to start your engine, definitely do another test and see if there are other leaks.

You might want to give us some detail on how exactly you are doing the test. It bothers me that you cant build pressure. Could you snap a picture of the tool you are using? Are you using an air compressor? Before I have a compressor, I would do boost leak tests in gas station parking lots using the tire inflator machine.

Haha thanks man I'm just glad mine doesn't look like all the other ones.
No I didn't test the throttle body elbow yet or with my red 5hp filter off and the nipple plugged
Could that really cause a boost leak?
i know im late, but now it can't cause a boost leak.. i have the same breather. Remember that's only the valvecover.

okay. on my injen intake there are three places for a hose to go on, i just
closed them off untill i have a use. i ordered my oil catch can, its a medium
size. As for the BLT i have found no hissing noise yet this far. i also ordered new
couplers. The tester Is this
How To: Boost leak tester for $5.02 - evolutionm.net

How im doing the test is having my car off, BLT'er on my turbo inlet very snug. hook up the air compressor built into our van with a psi gauge on it and turn it on. holds nothing):
like i said before i used a beer bottle to test my tester and the psi gauge and they both worked great.

and i know i know...i didnt go all out on an oil catch can. but thats because its not my main
problem right now, this is the one i bought. please tell me it will work...

I think you're missing the step of setting the engine to 40* btdc, so the intake valves are closed... other wise the air goes straight in and straight out the exhaust :thumb:

Try the test and go put your ear at the exhaust tip, I bet you hear a leak there ;)

Hope this helps, now do a blt... haha

(If you already do this disregard this entire message :) )
