Yesterday on my way home from a friends house my clutch, which is an ACT 2600, decides to do something weird about a half mile from my house. I drove the car easy as silk home like I always do unless someone wants to play. Well I could not get it into any gear. So I finally got it home & while it was turned off I pushed the clutch to the floor & it would go into every gear perfectly. The clutch still has that ACT 2600 pressure feel. I tested it by putting it in gear & pushing the clutch to the floor & started the car. Well it shut off immediatly & jumped forward. I checked the fluid in the master resivior & it was full.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

So when you step on the clutch, does the slave cylinder pushrod engauge the clutch fork correctly? I'm sure you had it check, just stating the obvious first.

The Clutch fork goes to about halfway in the boot when the pedal is to the floor. I adjusted the rod to about its max & it still wont go into gear. Wonder if its my master cylinder thats gone. Any way to check to see if a master cylinder is bad?

I was just driving around easy & go to downshift for a turn & it sunddenly wont go into any gear.

i had a problem kind of like that it was the slave. Can be easily replaced.
