Alrite here's the deal...Ive done all my own work on my car since i got it like 4 yrs ago so I wouldn't conisder myself a newb to dsm and especially dsm repair....well anyways about a month ago i was having a big oil leak and found out it was teh front case gasket....well ive already replaced all that and oil leak is no longer there.....now a new problem has suddenly showed up....i was putting it all together and i always triple check everything and the other nite i ran the motor with just teh tbelt on but no accessory belts just to make sure it wasnt leaking at all.......well it didnt leak and sounded really good no noises at all.....then the next day i go thru and put the rest back together and put her off the stands.....so i start my car and i hear a LOUD noise comin from that front case area......id describe it as whirring sound but almost like metal on metal.....at first i figured it was one of the tbelt covers cause they are pos rite now....so today i go thru and take off the covers and the accessory pulleys and i figured thered be no noise .....well the noise is still present so its got something to do with the tbelt pulleys and/or tensioners......i thought it was the balance shaft pulley located on teh front main seal....so i took it all apart and made sure i did everything rite....at first i thought maybe i put the pulley on backwards but i checked and it was correct.....so i inspect it and it looks like maybe like it mite have been scrapped as if it was rubbing about the front case plate.....well i made sure the clearances and everything was rite and put the tbelt back on.....i maunally turned the crank and listened for any noise which i didnt hear so i figured it was good....started it again and the noise is still there....the thing about it is that its gotta be drive pulley related bc as my rpms increases the noise gets louder.....it jus sounds like a pulley or something rubbing against another metal piece but when i inspect everything my clearances are fine.....i cant seem to find this problem and searching has lead me nowhere........any help would be greatly appreciate....
