I don't know who does the leak down test, Just don't let them mistake you for a compresion test. I guess you could buy your own but would probably be a waste of money.

Call up Conicelli. They're not that expensive. I got a brand new filter housing for my Stealth, with gaskets for a little over $35 + shipping. Normally for a DSM, they run about $65 w/o a discount.

Anyone interested in doing some autocross? I went to 151 speedway near Sun prairie today and they have auto-x races and looks like fun. I'm going to sign up in a week or 2 when I get some extra cash. If anyone else wants to join that'd be cool.

Terry How much you looking to get out of that moter? out of curiousity. I have to buy another machine for my shop but I might be able to swing it.

I would definately be down for some autox.

My new rims/tires should be here tomorrow hopefully and my clutch installed sometime this week.

Yes it was at Volk. I get to go back in August. That makes ME

I like alot of cars. classics mostly. Wish I could find a cheap 69. Just looking for the shell. I have a 351 in moth balls for my classic project

I sold it for 700... but i do need to pick those injectors today. I have to ship them to the guy tomorrow.


I was thinkin about having midwest hybrid install it. Last time i think they charged me 220$

Unless you guys have a better idea?? Either that or we can do our own install matt. BUT YOUR CAR'S FIRST HAHA!

does any one knows a good place to take your car for problem diagnostic. My car is making a weird knoking noise after idling for a few minutes. It also makes it when I start it or turn it off. There only problem is that it doesn't do it all the time. Sometimes it would do it everytime I drive, or it can go for a day or two with out making any noise. I don't have a clue what is going on. Any help would be appreciated.

All of our cars do that... its nothing bad. If its too annoying you can buy the revised lifters and it wont happen anymore.

Its not hurting your car at all... so dont worry about it.



On another note, i just talked to midwesthybrid and he said that he said "ill hook you up" when i mentioned 3 clutch jobs. So ill go over there today and see what that means if you guys are interested.


And matt, i picked up a compression tester today... i wanna see how your car does.

I'll be at volk Aug 18-22 I usually get there Monday evening and head to tomah to get some dinner and hit a bar or 2. After that we usually don't get off work untill 830 or 9 at night so we usually hang out on base. I am trying not to do that this time. I always end up at the club and spend way too much $$ I could have my engine rebuilt by now with all the $ I have spent on booze. I might be driveing around alot in August to avoid the club. Gas is cheaper than my alcohol tolerance.
