I have a 97 gsx shell with a 96 7 bolt block and 1g head. The engine I had previously was a 6bolt jdm engine. Will I run into any issues with the crank sensor?
I'm thinking that because there was a 6 bolt in there before that the ecu would be getting a cam and crank signal from the CAS(green top). But now that I have this 7 bolt in the car there will be a problem with one interfering with the other because of the crank sensor on the 7 bolt block. Can I rewire the CAS or the crank sensor? This current setup has never ran, trying to get it going.

just kiddin. But really, I have a 6 bolt in my 2g. I got tired of the whole misfiring business with using the 1G CAS for both signals, so I bought a Kiggly crank sensor made especially for 1G engines in 2G cars. And with adjustable cams, it's handy to have an adjustable cam sensor.
