Well i just got back from autozone and got my CEL diagnosed. These are the codes that came up.

P1105:Fuel Pressure Solenoid
P0110:Intake air Cicuit
P0100:Manifold Absolute Pressure/ BARO or Maf
P1400:Manifold Differental Pressure Sensor Circuit.

With all these codes being thrown i am pretty sure that the wiring harness and vaccum lines have been half assed. That would explain why i can never get a maf to properly work on my car. I have tried several and they all seem to cause the motor to stutter, misfire and eventually die. I got the motor rebuilt 148 miles ago with Wiseco Pistons, Eagle Rods, Re-Man Crank, ARP Head studs, Cometic head gasket, Replaced all gaskets. I also got a EVO 3 16G installed. The car runs fine without the maf and like ass at idle or stop signs/lights with it plugged in. Also its running extremely rich. I am getting the wiring harness worked on this weekend but i would like to hear what you guys think would also cause all these codes and Maf issues.

Get or borrow some kind of logger. You can log intake air temp and air flow to see how your MAS is working. If you suspect vacuum problems replace worn vacuum lines and boost leak test.

I have decided to take on the problem myself. I really cant wait for the mechanic to be free and i prefer to do something myself. How hard would it disconnect and reconnect my wiring harness as well as my vacuum lines? Will i be needing to remove the motor from the engine bay?

I did a boost leak test and found a major leak coming from my J-pipe. We fxed it but there is still the maf problem and a high squeal.

The squeal could be a belt or the Harmonic Dampener.

What is the MAF problem you're having? The car idles better with it unplugged?? And you're 100% sure there is NOO boost leaks anymore?

Do you have an SAFC? Did that car have and SAFC that was removed?

I am sure that there are no more boost leaks. I checked my ecu to see if there was a AFC or any type of A/F managment connected before and there wasnt. The squeal is coming between the intake manifold and fuel rail. It goes away when i hit the throttle and reach 2,500 rpms. The car pulls car when i have the maf plugged in but when i am at a light i have to hold down the clutch and give it gas so the motor doesnt die. When i disconnect the maf it would idle perfect but when i drive the motor bogs and it feels like its not getting gas.

Are you recirculating your bov ? Have a pic of your engine bay to take a look at it ?
Also, have you tried cleaning your maf ? I'm sure it's dirty, spray some carb cleaner in there.

That squeling is a massive vacuum leak. I bet that whom ever istalled your motor just didn't reconnect everything. Check in the center of the fuel rail on the intake mani. there is a large vacuum port there. It has to be plugged or used in order for the car to run properly. All vacuum ports have to be that way.

P.S. When you unplug the MAF the ECU goes into sort of a limp mode which runs on estimated air flow charts and not actual measured MAF readings. I promise you that this is your problem.

well i wont be able to take any pics today since i cant find a camera, but tomorrow i definitely will. I started to remove my battery, Fuse box, cruise control and intercooler piping to be able to get to the lines. I found that my egr valve was hooked on one end but not the other and that the charcoal canister was not plugged in one end and not the other as well. Tommorow i will be able to take pics and look a bit deeper. Does any one here know where i can get a good vacuum diagram for my car? Haynes is not working for me.

I found a huge problem while putting back the piping and battery. It seems like my Cometic Gasket was folded while it was been installed. I took a closer look and found a gap that looked to be 2 inches wide and at least 1mm thick. I moved the car to a garage so i can do better work and finally take pictures.

I jacked up the car today and peaked around and found a chip on my head. I posted pics below. Could this be the reason for the squeal? I also took pics of the head gasket. I realized it wasnt folded. I also keep hearing this ticking noise coming from one of my sensors.

This is where the ticking is coming from. It is a fast tick. It takes about half a second in between ticks.

Well Im havin sum of the same problems as u so if U figure anything out i'll try to shoot you some advice Im getting the same weird tick as u from that area and my car also runs and accelerates better when the MAF is un-plugged. When you try to accelerate does the car kinda wana stutter and bump? It's really weird cause I think we might have the same problem here are the codes im getting.

P0335
P0110
P0105
P0325
P1500

So it seems like we might have the same issue here. SO if u figure out anything let me know and If I get anything i'll let you know.

It seems like i find something new everyday. I found Gas in my Oil dipstick. Before i got the motor rebuilt i had a serious fuel problem. I havent got a chance to properly break the motor in yet since i drive it for no more than 30 minutes a day. The motor only has 208 miles on it right now. What could be the cause of the oil other than my rings?

I know this thread is more than a year old but i came across a solution a while back. After i installed a different turbo i went to crank the car over and it started but quickly died. I went to check out if i missed anything and i remembered the MAF issue from before. I unpluged the maf and it started up just fine. I noticed that the coupler that connects my Intake pipe to the Turbo wasn't properly installed. I had a friend start the car after i re-connected the Maf sensor and pushed the intake back in all the way. Wala no more Maf Problems. To make sure that was the cause i removed the intake from the turbo and the car immediately died.
