hey ppl,i jus bought a boost gauge and EGT gauge(carbon fiber autometer). where do i hook the wires for power? ive searched and is the cigg lighter the easiest place? and i was wondering , can i actually hook 2 of the gauges on the same wire?will it have enuff power?.

thanx

You can wire it anywhere, really off a switch in a dash, cig lighter, even the fuse panel. I dont remember but I think the autometers have a wire just for the light which you can wire to a wired source that turns on when you turn your lights on. Or you can wire it to a constant power source, but then your gauge will be on all the time. The easiest way is to get a test light, like 4 bucks from checkers and then pull a switch out of the dash somewhere and then test wires from the pin connectors and then turn the key and see what turns on the light and when the key is off, it will turn back off, and when you find it you can wire the gauges to that wire. I had 4 Apexi Gauges off the dash switches and it works perfect. Same with the fuse panel you can test where there is power going through when the key is on and off.

hey, thanks for the reply.can u explain more about the switches from the dash.sorry, kinda new to this electrical stuff.

There is a whire under your steering colum that you could tap into...its the one that gives power to your headlight switch. Thats the one i used, and the lights come on when i flip my lights on but the gauge still works without having to switch them on. :thumb: :talon:
