Back when my shift cables snapped and the car was just sitting, not being able to be driven....got a wild hair up my ass to do other "maintanence" work on the car.

I disassembled the throttlebody to replace the seals and block the FIAV. Took the intake manifold off and scraped the RTV seal off....YES the guys that had the car before me used ONLY RTV for the seal.

There was oil EVERYWHERE because there was a massive oil leak from the oil pump spraying sh** tons of oil all over the bay.

The CAS only had one nut holding it on, so it was leaking like hell and the seal had turned to hard plastic. Replaced the seal, replaced one stud for the CAS and replaced both nuts.

Upgraded all bolts for the throttlebody and intake manifold to stainless steel allen heads.

    Billet spark plug cover.

Stainless braided fuel line for AFPR...

I extended the harnesses for the fuel injectors and put new injector clips on. The reason for this was so that the wires could be ran through the middle of the intake manifold and be hidden. The injectors were turned around so that the plugs were hidden and the garbage all over the manifold could be removed. The coilpack was relocated...although I need to find a better spot eventually. The vacuum lines were all replaced with silicone lines and hidden through the middle of the manifold as well.

Fuel rail, throttlebody and intake manifold were recoated for a new appearance.

1000cc Delphi's (FIC / PTE) installed, along with the AEM AFPR.

Much much more, and I'm still not done.....just take a look at the pics. Newest pics are in the second post.

^ this looks good man. You can also shorten up that throttle cable to clean it up a bit more btw :thumb:

How do I shorten the throttle cable? I tried to route it under the throttle body elbow and the PCV but it wouldn't bend right. I wanted it out of the way....

Also, my SBR manifold and turbine housing and O2 housing are being ceramic coated at PCI....so that sh** will look sick once it's on (along with the 20g)

As for the HKS system....it's a weird system honestly. The MAF is taken apart and bolted into the can and then the HKS filter screws into the top. You want it? As soon as the 3" MAF goes in, I will no longer need it.

Haha I already have one. That was my point. It flows better than the stock one with paper element but I am getting ready to install my 3" GM maf soon so meh... But if you want to send it to me for free, I wouldn't mind having a couple of older aftermarket parts like that haha.

Now the weak link look in your engine bay is the exhaust manifold... looks like some liver spotted dalmation haha.

Loop that whole throttle cable under the intake manifold. I did this recently when i eliminated my cruise control. It makes a noticeable difference. Also if you aren't happy with the new location of your coil pack you might want to consider mounting it on the driver's side mount like I did. I would also recommend mounting your fuel injector resister pack lower and moving your ground straps lower on the firewall as well.

Here is mine for some ideas:

I dont have a problem running the throttle cable under the manifold, but the problem lies in adjustment for the cable...how do I adjust the slack then?

Also, I agree with the turbo manifold...it is a 2g and the turbo thats on the car is a cheap ass ching chong 16g. My SBR manifold along with the 20g turbine housing and O2 housing are being coated at PCI. So they are going to be looking ####ing MINT. I will update the pics once they come back to me.

The slack in the throttle cable is adjusted where it bolts onto the intake manifold. It has nothing to do with how the cable is routed.

Here's how my tuck looked on my old Talon:

After doing a bunch of them I am finally getting around to trying some ideas I had for relocating the engine harness so it comes out behind the motor so it cant be seen at all on my latest Talon (bad picture but you get the idea):

You didn't have any issues with your hood hitting the coil pack with it mounted there?

It was just sitting there in those pictures. The coil pack sat in the little niche on the other side of the strut tower.. You couldn't really see it from that point.

Later on I removed my power steering and I believe that was one of the things that made the biggest deal of all for the driver side of the engine bay at least. The biggest things to movie are ABS, Fuse box, Battery, A/C, Steering pump, Alternator, in that very order LOL.

Not bad for a 35rsetup about 4yrs ago LOL, before there were all of these wire tuck threads to tell ya how to do it.

I know how the slack is adjusted....it just seems that if it is routed under the manifold, it will be bent quite a bit in order to be bolted to the top of the manifold and connected properly. I will play around with it tomorrow though.

As far as relocating the fuse box...this is one thing I want to do, but I have no idea where to start.

There is no bending whatsoever. It loops just like it does from the factory, except that instead of being on top of the fuel rail it goes under the intake manifold.

It won't flop around since it isn't being clipped onto the fuel rail?

No. I zip-tied mine to the support bracket on the underside of the intake manifold but even if you didn't do that I don't think it would flop around.

The bracket was already missing when I bought the car, so that won't work.

I will try it out and see what happens. If all else fails, maybe I will run it through the middle of the manifold.
