Winter Weight Reduction Pt. 2

Today on lunch I pulled out my AC evap coil real quick since the glovebox was already out. I used this link as a reference, very good write-up.

I'm not sure if it's because I didn't do all the other steps in the write-up first or what but it was a little harder to get it out than projectGS describes. It came down to me bustin' out the pry-bar and doing work.

But to get to the meat the evap coil and all it's bolts weigh in right at 10lbs. So that brings my total weight saved to ~205lbs, 230lbs short of my goal (2500lbs w/me in the car)

I'll get some better updates coming soon once I finish the clutch job I'm doing on my friend's prelude. This weekend I'm aiming to take off the back bumper support and all the exhaust, including the stock muffler, from behind the cat back. I'm very interested to see how much the exhaust weighs. Also the rest of the hvac stuff.

There was something still holding it on at the top near the middle I believe. A clip of some type, not positive since I pretty much broke it out of it's place .

Now I'm trying to figure out a way to pull the heater core without taking out the dash. Check my 3rd blog for pics of what I've taken out so far and tell me if you think it's possible. I haven't looked at it too much yet.
