Just to let you know that was my problem. The plastic piece inside the metal piece snapped. Should be an easy fix.

Any advice on what to do if the window is rolled up and it's rattling? I did this to my windows, and they are solid when down and being closed, but when I am driving with them up, they rattle pretty bad.

It is the same piece. Mine did too.

Maybe I just need to tighten it up some more, I must have gotten scared that I was gonna break the plastic piece.

For some reason the pictures arent showing up in that new link either, i see is been several years since this was posted, but do any of you know where i can find these pictures? i dont really want to tear apart my doors and not know what im looking at.

Thanks
