This is on my 95 talon awd. When i first got the car(1 week ago) the passenger window didnt work. Last night it worked, and i tried it today and it worked but the third time i did it,it got stuck:notgood: seems like the ground is shorting out,i pulled the panel off and tested the switch and it was fine? any input would be great. Now i have to drive with the window open, but its just a little bit.

I have the same issue but with my driver side window! When I get it stuck, I just *carefully* pull up on the window while I'm pushing the up button. As for fixing the problem, I wish I knew, several people have told me to lube the sliding rail close to the door hinge, with some assembly lube. It has been quite cold for last few weeks, so I havent tried it yet, as I have not yet needed to roll the window down lately.

It maybe the window motor, it happend to my Talon. Not sure, you may want to take the door panel off and check it out. If that is the problem I have a new inbox window motor assy. not ever used. If you end up needing it PM me and we can work something out.
Good luck. At least this happend in the winter time when you dont really ever put yor window down:D

yea i did take the panel off.Maybe i will get lucky and it work tomarrow.

My drivers side window has gotten stuck down twice. The problem on mine is there is a dead spot on the motor that gets stuck, just had to wiggle the motor around while holding the switch to get it up. Might need to replace your motor.

When that happened to my GST, I sprayed a bunch of WD-40 on the window mechanism and it never got stuck again - further proof that sometimes it's the simplest fixes that elude us ;).

However, if that doesn't work, have you checked the motor itself? When you run jumper wires to the two terminals, the motor should turn on (connecting the wires one way makes the window go up, connecting them the other way should reverse it and make the window go down).

Since the problem is only on one side, it should be easy enough to isolate the cause. There are relays associated with the window mechanism, but as far as I know (at least on a 1g) they are for the whole system, and not one particular side. So it's either a problem with the motor, a problem with the wires/connector on the passenger side, or just a "stuck" window. :)

the contacts in the switch might need cleaning- there is a vfaq on that I believe. Or the regulator itself may be bad- I've changed two bad regulator assys even though the motors were still good.
