The weather stripping on the passenger side looks like it gets sucked down when the window rolls down, sometimes it doesn't do it but most of the time it does, my worry is that when I get my tints done it's going to affect it, is there anyway to prevent it from hitting or maybe take off the piece thats getting stuck?

Thanks
Mike

Mine does the same thing. I believe it's because the stock material is worn (there is a felt like lining on the rubber). I'm not sure of a good fix. I've had a couple ideas, but haven't tried any yet.

Got to your local auto parts store and purchase some silicone lubricant. Comes in the form of an aerosol can. You can spray this into the window track which allows the window to roll up and down with less resistance. This should also prevent the rubber for getting pulled down since the glass is lubricated in the track.

Regarding your tint concerns...I had my windows tinted (HP charcoal 32%) last year and started using the silicon spray one every 2 months during the wet season and haven't had any issues it ruining the tint.

Lubricant at the track didn't help me at all. The problem (at least in my case) is the window binding all the way accross, not on the track.

Of course the tracks do also like to get sticky so it may help in that case.

check to make sure there is not a problem with the part of ## track where the mirror is.. that was known problem spot for the window to bind up and come off track... my car does it until it rains and the gasket becomes wet and then the window works without fail... there was a tsb for it to remove the mirror and put a shim in the tract to expand the opening. silicone lube will sometimes give u a temp fix.. you could also take off the door panel and trying loosening the bolts that the window is fixed to and pushing the window back towards the rear of the car and then retightening.. it was in ALLDATA, Shopkey, and under the FAQs
