Thanx Todd ... but which caliper you recommending for daily driven DSM and way? and is the SS piston non-booted caliper required some special care or cleaning?

I would think you would want a booted caliper for a daily driver to keep all the crap out of it. Think the SS non booted are more for track duty.

You want an honest answer?

I've been selling BBKs now for over 13 years without dust boots. I've had but two (admitedly that I recall) customers have issue with non booted calipers. One was in Ohio, the ohter Canada where their vehcile saw year round use in the salt belts of winter. And both had multiple years of service and track use on them as well. The final cost of replacements to get new calipers was under $300. It wasn't even worth the consideration of a 'rebuid' for that cost.

But...business being what it is, Wilwood has taken heat for year for not offering this option. So, a couple years ago they released the DP and BSL4r calipers all with booted pistons. Today the answer is 'can do'.

For the daily driver the value cuts both ways. For the track guy the better option is SS for heat rejection and the fact that boots will dry out, crack or burn as they do on nearly all track booted calipers. Are there down sides to the boots? Only that the alum piston used is not as efficient at heat rejection.

On this kit you can have it either way.
On the TCE kits you can in fact do them booted with the BSL4r caliper but the cost due to the radial mount aspect and caliper price puts it through the roof. That's why it's not listed- you could replace the FSL two times for the upcharge.
