Will water damage my bov?

I have an hks ssqv and it is located where my side mount use to be, i have it vented and wanted to know if water will damage the bov or should i find a way to keep water from reaching it?

May I ask why you have it located there? First thing I recommend is to relocate it to where the stock bov location is. If you really dont want to do that, use a magnet and test what material the bov is made of. If its aluminum you should be fine. If it has steel components anywhere on it chances are it could rust over time. Thats my opinion.

i ordered some piping off ebay that was going to custom fit my intercooler that i had, the mounting brackets on my intercooler snapped off so instead of getting them welded back on i decided to try and save a few bucks and flip the intercooler over. The outlets are off set so it changed the whole piping set up since its flipped over now and having it there was the only way i could get it to fit, along with a lot of cutting, ended up not worth it and i was better off just getting the brackets re-welded but ill just have to do that later, but ill try that magnet thing and see how it goes.

The short version of that is no. But obviously if you suck enough into your motor it will damage something. Also, if you're running blowthru, it'll mess with the signal for the mas and make your car spit and sputter under boost.
