So I’ve had 1999 Eclipse GSX for 2 years with 160,000 miles. The old engine gave out so I bought newish one with 46,000 miles.

I some what built the tranny with the parts available now days. The guy I took it to said it could handle 500hp and about 450ftlbs. My goal is to be around there.

So far I have saved up and bought all these parts, what else do you guys recommend getting or am I set to start my build and see where I go power wise?

Here is a list of what I have:
  1. Turbo kit 5858 precision turbo t3 stm manifold side exit exhaust dump tube and tail 44 mm wastegate
  2. Fuel pressure regulator already installed on old engine would like to keep
  3. Intercooler with intercooler piping also installed on old engine want keep
  4. New engine wire harness
  5. New water pump with timing belt stm kit
  6. DSMLink and ECU from old engine want to keep
  7. EGR delete plate
  8. MishiMoto coolant reservoir tank
  9. MishiMoto oil catch can
  10. MishiMoto Power steering reservoir tank
  11. MishiMoto radiator from old engine
  12. NGK spark plugs
  13. FIC fuel rail red
  14. FIC 1200 injections
  15. AEM 340 fuel pump
  16. STM balance shaft delete kit
  17. Top end gaskets
  18. BC 276/276 with BC0100 kit
  19. STM cam position sensor housing cover
  20. Cosmetic MLS head gasket .066 85.5 bore
  21. ARP head studs
  22. Grimmspeed manual boost control
  23. Megan Racing Lowering springs KYB shocks set of 4
  24. Rear axle boot kit
  25. New 4g63 engine with everything
  26. Kiggy racing pressure regulator
  27. Built transmission
  28. AEM adjustable cam gears
  29. JMF race intake manifold
  30. STM Fuel pressure regulator on old engine would like to keep
  31. Ats 2900 clutch
  32. Front Lower Control Arm w/ Ball Joint + Inner & Outer Tie Rod Kit
  33. Big front brake kit.

So that is everything I have so far. We also bought other things to make it look cool and more modern plus some stickers to add horse power 😂

Do you guys think this set up we’ll make the 450hp with at least 350fqt?

Also I’m looking to only run 91 pump not e85, might consider the e85 if I don’t reach my goal.

Here is some stuff of my old set up that came with the car when I bought it. I don’t know what power it made but it was pretty slow.

850cc injectors, 20g turbo with an Evo 8 style manifold, eBay fuel pressure regulator, 255 fuel pump, ATS 2900 clutch, intercooler, and other goodies but getting rid of most the old stuff and adding what I have now.

I know a lot of people are going to say I could hit the goal a lot cheaper but I’m trying to make show/race car.

My budget is 25,000 so far including the 5k I bought the car for. I’m 16,800 bucks into it but willing to spend more if necessary.

thank you guys for your help

"New 4g63 engine with everything" is really vague. Assuming you mean that the engine was properly built, including precision machine work and performance internals capable of withstanding 20% or more over your power goals, then what you have listed should get you there. Enemy will be heat once you push sufficient boost to put you upwards of about 400hp. Lasershark's suggestion of a water/meth injection kit is spot on - you'll need it to keep charge temps down under high boost. Proper tuning goes without saying.

Looking forward to seeing your project develop.

agreed wit the other comments, if staying with 91octane a very tight tune is needed and water/meth injection will give you some major piece of mind and help you actually use your higher boost levels efficiently
