Ok, here's what I have.

'97 Gst
3" cat-eliminator downpipe, 2.5" catback, MBC, FMIC, Greddy type S bov, Injen intake and filter, hard I/C piping.

I will be getting my Forced Performance Big T-28 in a day or so. Can I run 14-15 psi without any fuel mods safely for now? I will be getting a 255 fuel pump, 550's and a SAFC within a month or so, but will this work for now without any problems?

Also, how many mile break in period should I have for the turbo?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I sya youll be alright with that setup...but Ill recomend a fpr cause a 255 pump will cook your stocker. With the fmic on and the t25 still in place youll hate your car til the t28 is on.

OK...I might need some more help. I am installing my turbo in 2 days. I am getting a couple of gaskets and bolts from our local Mitsu dealer. What do you think I will need in this area? Also what is the best approach to taking the stock turbo off? (top or bottom and how) Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Justin

I think the easiest way to do a turbo swap is to drain the oil and coolant, take out the radiator, and drop the thing down. That way the whole exhaust mani doesnt have to come off. Also when I did my turbo swap, since you gotta take off the oil and coolant lines to the turbo, might as well put some clean stuff back in the system. As far as gaskets... all you should need is a mani to turbo and turbo to O2 sensor housing gasket. I do not know any more because i had everything else just lying around anyway.

Well I got my turbo installed today. The thing pulls unbelievibly. The only little trouble I had was trying to get off the stud. Other than that it went smooth. It took about 5 hours total with mostly just myself with a little help from my Dad. Anyone looking into buying this turbo I would definately recomend it. Full spool by just a hair over 3K. I'm running 14psi with no fuel mods. Can't wait until I can turn up the boost.

get yourself an upgraded bov, a 190 fuel pump and turn that boost up to about 16... you'll love it. A 255 lph pump is overkill... people have made over 400 whp w/ a 190, and my guess is that if you're ever going to be making 400 hp you're going to want to upgrade to a walbro supra pump later anyways... the 190 allows you to run the pump w/o worring about a fpr
