Will this setup make a 12 sec car?

I was looking at putting on a complete Evo setup. By that I mean I would get an Evo III exhaust manifold, Evo III 16g turbo, Evo III o2 housing. With that as my turbo and having the supporting mods, ie downpipe exhaust, boost control, and fuel setup. Would this turbo be able to make a 2g a 12 second car in the quarter mile? Another thing is what size injectors would go alot with this sort of application? Thanks in advance.

it could.

550's would be more than enough.

With some tuning you could do 12's with that turbo set up and the supporting mods. As for fuel I would go with 550's for injectors and a 190 fuel pump.

Go 660's. The timing increase was very minimal with my 580's. If I went back and bought them again, I would go at least 660's.

So 550's or 660's??? And if I went with the 660's would the 190 fuel pump be enough or would I have to go with a 225?

just go all out and get the 255 pump and 660 injectors. You can always lean it back out with the safc or whatever you use to tune. This way when you decide to replace the 2small16g you'll already ahve the fuel.

Well thats the biggest 16g and it would make a 12 second car... And your saying its too small? Well tell me your ideal turbo then. I'm not looking for some huge t60 or anything just something I can get the most out of and make a good 12 or low 12 second car.

i remember back in the day if you were running anything bigger than 550's, you were nuts. that rule even applied to the 20g guys.

now people are saying 660's and a 255 is needed for a 16g. how rediclous.

also, whats wrong with the 16g? its been proven a billion trillion times to be beyond an excellent turbo for a 4g63.

Exactly.
660s are just over-kill. No need for them at all.

You could go 12s with your 14b if you put some TLC and tuned it. Scott hidley has gone 12.8~ with 550s, air filter, exhaust, S-AFC, fuelpump, clutch.

maybe UICP i cant remeber
stock SMIC, stock turbo.

I went 13.1 with a 14b turbo, stock weight/clutch/intercooler/injectors, most of my mods are in my profile.

Its hard to say what you will run it really depends on driving and tuning. Good luck with 12's though. :thumb:

It is for timing on a 2g. Our cars are don't like to give us much, unlike you 1g guys.

Besides, the 660's aren't very much more.
