I'm going to redue my head and plan to run boost of 20 or more psi and my question is will this kit work? Will the head gasket that comes in it really hold up to that much boost or should I get the cometic and buy the other gaskets as seprate units.

I want to do it once and do it right. If anyone can tell me if this kit comes with all these that would be great. Is topline a good company and is the t-belt kit slow boy sells a good product or should I pay more and order direct from my dealer.

I just emailed Mike Huml about this gasket set. If the headgasket is the OEM one (should be), this is the kit to go with. Stock OEM headgasket along with ARP head studs is the best route to take IMO!

So the OEM one with ARP's will hold 25psi when I'm ready t9o go that far.

This is good news and I will be ordering this kit then.

Is it better than the cometic one?

Derek

I would say take OEM over cometic. And, you can get the OEM 4 layer metal headgasket AND the ARP head bolts for $179 from dsmparts.com which is a little cheaper than getting them seperatly.

why does no one favor the mistu 4 layer one? havt both the 4 layer and the oem but i plan on building a monster of a dsm.. my goal is 450 at the wheels. whats the benniffet of the oem over the layered or vice versa.?

OEM is cheaper than the 4layer.

The 4layer Mistsu gasket is more likely to form a solid seal because of its size and design.

The 4layer gasket will cause a slight decrease in compression, but barely noticable.

I'm in the process of buying one now and am most likely going to go with the Mitsu 4Layer Head gasket.
