Will Not Start, No Spark

On my 92 Eagle Talon TSI AWD
When I bought it, it had been sitting for about a year!
I have not started it since, it needed a new ECU. So I got a new ECU, put it in, and I am getting no spark.
The starter is turning over, but I am just not getting anything at all
I am still a newbie, I am going to spend all day working on this.
Where should I start, and what should I try to fix?

Make sure the ignition coil is working, check the crank sensor, wires, make sure the ignition transistor/pack is plugged in..

Ok, here goes.

No spark. Barring all fuses are good, I would look at the CAS. You will need an oscilloscope like the Snap On Vantage or something like that. Or, just replace with known good component. If that's not it, check for 12 volts at the coils. Put a test light on the coil input and see if it lights up. If it does, hook the test light to the grounding wire and crank engine. It should blink if it does, you may have bad coils, although I doubt that. The other culprit would be the igniter which is right by the coils. You are going to need a schematic for sure to check the color codes and for knowing what voltage goes where.

Get a manual from Ebay or one of the site sponsors.

I would replace the power transitor, coil pack, and ecu. That should do the job.

I wouldn't replace anything until you've done some diagnostic troubleshooting like Old Mitsu Tech suggests.

You can check the basic operation of the CAS without a scope. The signal wires is pulled up by the ECU to 5v and the CAS and TDC sensor pull them low. If you turn the CAS over by hand you should see the line toggling from 5v to 0v, etc.

eh, my car has the same problem right now. i replaced the coil pack and transistor and still nothing. i guess the next thing i can replace is the ECU....
