I put my ecu out of my parts car which is a turbo fwd auto into my awd 5 speed? I know the fwd and awd thing means nothing. Its the fact that my awd is 5 speed and the parts car is auto I only ask because my awd ecu is fried! Thanks every one for ur help

It looks like for the 1g's they made a different ecu for awd vs fwd and std vs man (well atleast they used different resistors (see link)), well atleast they had different part numbers.

I know for example on the 2g 95 ecu it doesn't matter awd vs fwd, auto vs std but that doesn't help to much.

well I swaped the auto ecu in my 5 speed and I would say to any one who wants to know if this is possible not to do it! My car ran ok but it just would idle like hell and die over and over! So I had to yank it out and I bought a 5 speed eprom from a friend and all is good again! Man its a pain getting that ecu back up under the dash I am gald that its running good again! Thanks for the help guys

That would be because, like the other guy said, it thought you had 390cc injectors when you really had 450cc injectors. You were running waaaaay too rich.

Ya I knew that when I could smell it flooding. Thats what I get for trying to get off cheap...
