What will happen if I close it?

Hi, I've got a little question.

I want to upgrade a bigger turbo (FP Big28 or bigger).
But here in Switzerland I need to install a exhaust flap ( http://www.twingles.com/ideck/misc/qtec/qtecinline.htm )
to keep the loudness down.
Now my question is:

If I have a bigger turbo, and I need a quiet exhaust while I'm driving and I close it.
What will happen?

Does the engine overheats?
or will the engine heat be okay and I just have no boost / power?

Can I drive the car with no problems even if it's closed for long distances?

After reading that little mini article... you'd better plan on putting a couple more holes in the thing...

It may run okay, but I think it's nuts to have 3 1/2" exhaust with 2, count them 2 9/16" holes allowing the exhaust to escape... your valves are bigger than that, and there's 8 of them... 4 holes might have enough surface area to make this doable... but I'unno...

How about installing extra resonators from the cat to the tailpipe? Using two of them with some spacing in between should allow you to run without extra backpressure and still keep the sound down within legal limits. I say "should" but I'm hoping that someone who's tried this can also chime in and let us know.

Your profile indicates your car is currently stock?

A bigger turbo in itself will not create more noise, but having a large bore exhaust (Dre has a huge-bore 3.5" ) would create more noise. A typical 3" with a cat (or resonator in it's place) and a non-"racing" muffler should get you past any noise-nazies in your country.

yes that's right.
I'm currently stock. But I have a 3"dp, 3" cat and 3" ATR cat-back at home, ready to install. The thing is, if I install it like that, it will be way to loud. So I have to buy a ( http://www.twingles.com/ideck/misc/qtec/qtecinline.htm ) or something to bring down the noise.
