Will Evo x injectors fit my 93 laser rs turbo awd?

My buddy is selling some stock 650cc injectors from is Evo x but I'm not sure if they are the right impedance. Does anyone know??

Evo X 650s, eh? You run your fuel pressure at 3.5 bar? For most us, at only 3 bar, Evo X injectors are only 550s.

As to impedance, the OE injectors in an Evo X are high impedance.

Stock Evo 8-9 are low impedance 580's. All DSM's and 3000gt's ect are low impedance. The Evo 10 might be totally different. And I'm not sure if they have high or not.Or if they upped the size

I wouldn't listen to that guy...

Also if your running any kind of turbo on a 420a. (assuming u have tuning already) you just need to change your fuel settings, and for sure get an aftermarket fuel pressure reg.. (I hope u have a fuel pump too) Then set fuel pressure to about 42-44PSIg with out the vacuum line connected to the AFPR, and your good. Who measures in Bar anyway?

That guy happens to own an Evo X, jfyi. I was curious though so after some quick searching there IS a lot of bs out there about these things but after 10minutes of hunting around I've concluded that that guy is, in fact, correct.
I guess these things can flow anywhere from 600cc to 700cc on a Genesis Coupe since they do run higher fuel pressure.

They will fit, will they work with your set up? Depends on if U can and have the ability to tune it! I edited my post to describe the minimum.

Just because he has an Evo 10 does not mean he knows what he has, or what other models have. He thinks Evo 8's have 550's and are high impedance... Nope. Fuel pressure does change things a bit. Most places test/flow standard 43PSI. But I agree with u. Part numbers help. Or call RC engineering. That's where I buy, and send my injectors to get flow tested, and where I get my info from.

At our 43psi pressure they flow the same as 550s, so I would think they would be safe to run with a 2g MAS. But I am just learning like you so dont quote e on that.

My memory for admitting to "just learning" is about as weak as my memory for saying anything about Evo 8s or 9s. I know exactly what injectors are in my car.

Also, if you don't know how to put high-impedance injectors into a DSM, maybe you should let someone else do it for you.

Please note that when I said that you should get help if you don't know how to put high-impedance injectors in a DSM I was also saying - in a rather (excessively) subtle way - that your buddy is the last person that you should ask for said help.

A lot of people seem to assume that Evo Xs are about as different from Evo 9s as Evo 9s were different from Evo 8s. That is hugely untrue. The Evo X is a very different creature.

I have sold both 8 and x injectors. I know the x injectors are smaller in physical size and do not use the same seals as a dsm/evo8-9 injector does.

yes, any time you install bigger injectors in your car, you need some way to control them.

To recap, the original idea was that Evo X injectors are low-impedance 650s that will drop right into a DSM. The truth is that they are high-impedance 550s that are a different size from those for 4G63s.
