7-bolt in a 1g? will a 2g 7bolt fit in my 90 laser rs... it's out of a tsi awd... sorry for posting.. im sure it's in vfaq somewhere but im having problems finding it and my comp doesn't like the site.. desperate for an engine that runs for school... thanks

will the 2g turbo pistons hold up for any amount of time? higher compression but not as bad as a 1g nt... will it blow out if i drive it for 200 miles to school? i could really use some help on this one..

so youre going to put a turbo 7 bolt motor, into a non turbo laser right? This should work fine, aside from small things here and there youre gonna need to change, basicly a reverse 6 bolt swap. But as far as the pistons why would there be a problem? all youre doing it moving the motor to a different shell theyre not gonna operate any different

im thinking about moving a turbo 7-bolt into my turbo laser. i was told the sensors would work right and i would also need a cpu swap and wiring swap with it.. but im working on the smallest budget of any engine swap... ever...

unless your going to turbo it, you would use the sensors and stuff that are on your motor now. if you turbo it the easy way would be to use a 1g turbo wire harness and ecu.

i was in the vfaq section, it said some sensors wouldn't work if i put a 2g engine into my 1g..my turbo is fine.. i was just going to pull my shot engine and drop in a 2g turbo engine. i was wondering if there would be any sensor or ecu probs.. im not putting any aftermarket turbos on.. just the 14b i have in my car right now.. is this possible and would there be any problems with just swapping a 1g turbo engine for a 2g turbo engine? thanks for responds and help.

it's the only engine i have been able to find for less than a grand.. that is as high as i can possibly go for an engine for my car.. it's out of necessity not desire...
