Will an ACT 4 spring disk fit a 2600 PP dated 03-03-05?

I see conflicting stories on the web. I was using an OEM 2G disk and it's starting to slip so I need to replace it. This car has to survive 20 hour highway drives,so a solid disk is not an option, and I'm not sure I'm up for the commute-hour chatter of a puck.

Bear in mind that I have no real-world experience with either solids or pucks, just what I think I know from hours of web research.

So, since 6 spring ACT street disks are no longer available, will a 4 spring fit under an old-style PP? The car is currently full weight at the 400hp level and will see several test n tune sessions this year, plus possibly a weekend of racing.

Dan (project_tsi) just tried installing that same set-up, with the new style 6-puck with the four large springs. His pressure plate fingers hit the springs. He had to remove the assembly and replace the disc with a non-ACT disc.

There are a few companys still making them with the six smaller diameter springs. ClutchNet and Fidanza come to mind.
