will a walbro 190 fuel pump / 550cc injectors increase T-25 performance?

Edmonton,
Hey, i'm working on getting all of my supporting mods before upgrading the turbo, but i'm on a budget so it's a slow process. Thus far i have an intake, k/n fipk, 3' exhaust, and mbc....

I think i want to go with a big T-28 as i'm new to car modding and think ill perhaps be able to install this one myself as opposed to the EVOIII16g which seems alot harder. Also i think it's a decent choice for an AWD car looking to make mid 13's for a daily driver...

Basically i'm wondering if i should go with the walbro 190 / 550cc injectors first or just get the Big T-28 for some easy HP ( i know it wont be at it's potential ) , and if i get the pump / injectors am i going to notice any power increase on the T-25??? And will i need a SAFC to tune the new injectors even with the T-25???

issue is that im going to have to wait a couple months between turbo / fuel system purchases.
Thanks

The Big T28 doesn't like the stock injectors at all. 550s or more better 660s would be the key. Remember to get a AFPR even with the 190lph. You'll be really surprised how much more air the Big T28 flow than the stock T25. Most likely you won't be able to run as high of a boost level on the Big T28 until you do some sort of fuel management:talon:

Dont even buy the 190. You'll be replacing it later. I'd go ahead with the 255 lph and AFPR. The 190 doesn't need an AFPR...but its good to have. I'd start with a piggyback like DSMlink, then go with the AFPR, then fuel pump, and then injectors.

Although i have no say to my name, i would have to disagree about getting a 255, and putting a afpr on a 190.

I have read my fair share about fuel pressure regulator overrun and have seen many people make over 300whp on a 190. An even though i cant find the tread, there was a guy on here that was running a 50 trim and couldent figure out why his wideband was going lean. It turned out that it was because his evo 8 fuel pump wasnt rewired. Needless to say, he rewired it and everything was fine.

Good enough for a 50 trim, good enough for a t28.

Plus, if i were you i would consider looking around on evolutionm.net for a used evo fuel pump. You will save around 50-75 dollars.

I personally have friends running 255's on stock fpr's and no over run. Fuel trims are perfect. But ive also seen a few over run too, it just madders on the car. Or it may be that some stock fpr's are weaker and cant take the fuel pressure.

Anyways a 190 should be enough but I personally am running lean at top with one due to not enough pressure to the injectors. Also a wiseman ran lean on a rewire 190 with a 16g and had to upgrade. Sometimes you need the fpr to up the pressure but with a 2g you should be fine.

Just get the 255, that way you dont have to upgrade later and it will support you setup up with no problem, then get a good afrp and a piggyback-either dsmlink or safc

The T-25 maxes out at 250 I believe. Now getting a FP T-28, 550 and Bigger Fuel pump is a must with a Tuning device. You'll be set with that for 12s at least.

OK your asking if it would be smarter to buy your turbo before the supporting mods. Well go with supports first, buy your pumps injectors, fpr, and then a tuning system and finally your turbo this will give you the most bang for your buck. And it will should keep you from, damaging your stock components, and with out damaging your new parts(that are not cheap you know).

Good luck

Like it's been said before. If you've put in a walboro once, you dont want to do it again. 255's are able to pump 700 - 800 bhp worth of fuel. So, unless your car is one day a 10 second car or faster, i doubt you'd ever have to worry about putting in a new pump. I dont know about you, but that sounds good to me.

Are you sure that the T28 is the last turbo that you will buy? If yes - then get the 190 and 550cc injectors or EVO denso fuel pump and injectors.

To answer your question - no a bigger fuel pump and bigger injectors will not increase T25 performance.
