2G Will a Galant VR4 Trans and Tcase fit GSX?

I'm looking at buying a Shepard Transmission. Just need to know if they bolt right up to a 96 GSX..

The Galant VR-4 transmission is virtually the same as a 1g transmission with the exception of a taller, weaker first gear.

Running a 1g trans in a 2g car is not a bolt in affair. See here for the differences between the 1g and 2g trans:

It's your only good option. Keep in mind 2ga and 2gb have different final drive ratios. They do not interchange. They require matching tcase or change the final drive inside the trans.

So you are saying my best bet is a 95-96 GSX Trans

Yes. If you buy a 97 to 99 you have to get the tcase also.
