I had heard that it helps stop the flex from the strut towers on a hard launch, i don't see how it could hurt ?

I had a red one, it was my first dsm and it made a lot of mustangs mad. but i do like fwd also. less drive train to worry about breaking !

Poly mounts, slicks, and LSD. The best you can do man. FWD has its obvious limitations

Get a better suspension setup also if you want to stop so much wheel hop and awkward control during spinning.
