my exhaust cam shaft locked up because the oil in the 3rd jounal and it starting melting the metal around it and it just locked up and the cam shaft bolt broke and the doll pin snapped so i am thinking my motor might be dead and i can pick up a 96 4g63t from my buddy for $500 i want to do it but will it work in my car if i swap the motor out? it seems like it would b/c it's pretty much the same motor isn't it??? :talon: 's forever

It will fit. But everything is different. Your car has a 6 bolt motor. that is a seven bolt motor. A lot of things are different. You can do it. It is not recommended.

Not that there is anything wrong with seven bolts, just that there is reverse wiring, motor mounts and other ordeals to worry about.

Save yourself too much effort. Sit down and see what is bad and what is salvageable. Then do some research and see what you need to do to get back on the road. So find out what needs fixed first.
