will a 3g headliner fit a 2g?

Will a 3g headliner fit a 2g with sunroof? Or how about finding a 3g liner without sunroof and cutting a hole? Anyone ever try this?

The best that I can say is go to a yard that has a 2g and a 3g and find out before you wast money and time trying it for it to not work.

Yeah that's what I planned on doing. I got my hopes up since I was able to retrofit a 3g carpet, and I usually only take a trip to the yard when I actually need something.Just filled my pockets last week: hood hinge, door sensors, a/c switch, etc. Haha. I was reading another thread about 3g parts but nothing about a headliner.

Why don't you just go to the fabric store, pick out some headliner material you like. Then go to the auto parts store and get some headliner glue. Then remove your current headliner material, sand down that headliner board and glue the new piece on. Its easy and looks good if done right.

That's what I would do if I still had a headliner haha. The old one was so damaged (and stunk) from the sunroof leak I tossed it. If a 3g doesn't fit, I'll have to get a 2g from the yard and redo it,

Go out to some yards and find some busted up 2G's and grab you a few roof liners, and if possible, make your own cutout for the sunroof. I saw three 2G's out at a yard today with excellent roof liners and they only want five bucks for a liner.

I couldn't imagine a 3G headliner fitting in a 2G correctly. I would find one out of a 2G at that yard and re-cover it.
