will a 2.0 bolt up to a 1.8 tranny?

Plus I think I need a 5 spd cpu and harness! right? the 2.0 harness is for a auto!

all you need is the tranny,clutch and flywheel. i don't think much else should be needed but i could be wrong ... i guy here had a 90 gst and put a 1.8 tranny on it. he siad that was all he needed.

why would you want to put a 1.8 tranny on a 2.0? is there different ratios that are better, or what? im curious, because i was thinking about doing a 2.0 swap in my brothers 1.8. is it posible to do this?

the non turbo tranny is a little bit faster than the fwd turbo tranny but not as strong ... as far as swapping engines ... if it is n/t to n/t then it should be pretty easy ... n/t to turbo swap can and will be harder. mainly because of all the things needed like wiring harness, ecu, plus all the turbo parts , ect ... i (at one time many years ago) looked into turboing my 92 gs but decided against it. i just bought a 92 tsi fwd instead (for $500) and rebuilt the engine.
