1.8 tranny on a 2.0 nt?

Someone was trying to tell me that I can use a 1.8 tranny off a 90-94 for my 90 eclipse 2.0 nt.... Im pretty sre this isnt true but i just wanna double check....

I believe the gear ratio's are different. There have been some threads in the past with a similar question. Ill try to find them. Here's a site with the gear ratio's http://www.vfaq.com/mods/Trannies.html hope it can help you out or atleast give you some new ground to work off of.
