Will 4g64 lower timing cover fit 4g63

Will the 1995-1999 4g64 sohc lower timin cover be accurate on a 4g63 ?

Probably not. I know 4g64 gallant and 4g69 sonata stuff were missing a hole or two on my evo 4g63t block. Then again, the parts are so cheap why not try at it.

Thread revival...this does work if you cut a small clearance notch for the t-belt near the idler pulley.

7bolt. There was also one hole I added near the "front" to be sure the cover would stay well clear of accessory belts, but isn't required.

It would be the same for 6bolt stuff anyway. 4g63 and 4g64 are virtually identical.

Just have to trim near the idler pulley because the angle of the belt is "wider" on a DOHC setup vs. SOHC. I don't run mid or upper timing covers anyway, so this is a clean solution that protects the timing components where it's actually needed.
