will 20's fit?

Some new cars w/ BIG WHEELS:

Infinity FX's come with 20's
New BMW 7 Series comes with 19's
Dont Lambo's come with 19's or 20's???

YEAH THEY COME on alot of new cars, so what... they will still look like ass on a 1g or 2g dsm. those are all really big cars.
it will raise teh car up off the ground at least an extra inch so that way you can go off roading with me next time i take my full size blazer out....OMG you'll have just about as much ground clearance as i do.

i've seen 19'' on an gst...looked nice but i wouldn't go that large a rim. 20" might fit seen that the mentioned car did have a very slight space left in the wheel well. but i'm certain u would have to roll back the fender some what to fit the 20". plus those size rims will raise the height of the car...in my opinion up 2 high. i have 18" on my ride with the car dropped and it looks phat..but not only that, the car still performs exceptionally well.

well i decided to go with 19's i found a package deal for 19's with tires shipped for 999 :) cant beat that....

There are a few people who have 19"s equipped. I make no distinction between 19s and 20s and could not tell the difference between them from a distance. I wouldn't do it, but it would be something different

Somebody do a photoshop pic. I want to see someone try to fit twentys on. You might need a lift kit! LOL. I have seen a few 2g's with 19s.

well..i have 19's(AXIS SPIDERS) and i can say they look really nice and i get tons of compliments on them, but i can also say they significantly slow the car down(they weigh 54lbs a piece w/tire) but performance is not as much of an issue for me since i am selling my car for an mr2 turbo and the fact that i got the wheels for free doesnt hurt :thumb:

thats the concept, they will definitely drop those when the car makes production, and they probably gonna drop the hybrid power train also and just go with v6 FWD(probably)

no they won't, but you can get away with narrow 19's or the option I think is better wide 18's besides 20's would look kinda wack

I can't believe I read this entire thread. There is so much ignorance, it makes me sick.

A few things...luxury cars cost more, because you're paying for their image, and often other luxurious or performance features. If you have to think a few times about buying a Navigator over its lesser model then that Navigator probably isn't for you.

Many factory, read again, OEM, cars come with larger wheels. I'm willing to bet they'd spank a majority of you in a race too.

Larger wheels may slow you down, but if you're already fast, and don't care about being balls-out the fastest, then why not? I've seen some hot cars with big wheels. And if you want to argue that it'll slow you down. You're right. Then again, if I was really worried about weight I'd strip my interior too.

Larger wheels on a FWD will help with wheel hop. Keep the weight down if it's that important to you (forged) and you'll gain top end. I'd recommend 18s at most for GSTs. For AWDs I'd go 16 or 17, forged for off the line performance.

18, 19, 20 inch rims has nothing to do with being rice. Rice is putting on mods that say fast, when there's nothing to back it up...its a front. 19" rims do not say anything about acceleration, they are for looks. If he wants large rims, then he obviously wants the look.

Knocking him for sacrificing a bit of speed because he values style as well as substance is retarded. It can be argued that folks like yourself who claim speed is the holy grail are involved in a futile pissing contest that you'll never win. There will always be someone faster. Style, however, is always #1 in the eyes of its creator. If he can outrun 95% of the cars on the road, then he has a right to not be falsely accused of rice when he wants to add some of his own style to the ride.

There is someone else out there that gets it, weird.

And here's a DSMtuners member that did 20s with a 245/35/20 a while back. I remember the thread, and his gallery is on page 241...I've been here too long.

I was actually thinking about swapping my Enkei RPM2's 18x8's for those AXIS Spiders in 19's.... Do they really weigh that much??? If they weigh that much, I'll pass, I'm slow enough as it is. . Damn and i really wanted those.

To get rid of gap, get some coilovers:thumb: . I need to roll my rear fenders with my 18's, they almost don't fit cause of the control arm. I can't even fit my finger between the tire and the arm.
