First off, I have the Sony CDX-M850 head unit. One of those black panel ones with the soft touch buttons the the reverse side.

This afternoon when i got in my car i started it up, and the face folded down like it always does. Only none of the lights or the display came on. It appears to be folded all the way open, but it stays blank, and makes this clikcing noise.

I think the motor have have fritzed out or something. But if that's the case, how would it explain the fact that it wont turn on? Perhaps a blown fuse inside the unit?

I'm pulling it out this afternoon and checking all my connections, all the fuses and such. ANyone know if there is a fuse for the radio in the hunderhood fuse box, or is there one in the fuseblock in the driverside footwell?

ANyone have experience with this headunit, or a problem like this with a similar one?

Thanks.

Ok, i checked all the 2 underhood radio fuses, and those are still in good shape. I also checked all the fuses underneath the driver footwell, those were also in good shape.

ANy other sggestions?
