Under heavy acceleration ONLY I get a consistent wierd popping/thump noise near my passenger side wheel well. It seems to be only doing it in 1st gear. And when it occurs i feel a loss in power almost like something is slipping. any ideas??? I have a 95 talon tsi FWD, and just recently got act 2100lb clutch kit/act flywheel done 2000 miles ago.

I plan on taking it to mitsubishi sometime next week to get recalls done with control arm/ball joints but If anyone knows whats causing this noise it would relieve me!

PS. I do have a half broken tranny mount brace if that could be the problem with
this noise?

Thanks
~tom

Define "half broken". You do realize if you'd provided all this information the first time around you wouldn't be making another thread now?

Alright its a brace so you picture a brace its almost like the end of a strut tower brace how it has the 2 arms on each end like a horse shoe, and the one end is completely snapped off but the middle piece is still intact
