I just got my rebuilt engine back in my 92 Talon TSI AWD. I now have a strange problem with my clutch. When I first pushed in my clutch I had some grind getting it into 1st gear. I did the adjustment at the pedal and it did not help. I then made a new rod for the slave 1/4" longer and it fells the same. I have noticed that as soon as I move the clutch pedal the car starts to move. This was the same as when I had the OEM rod in at the slave. I did a search, but did not come up with an answer on this. Here is what I was thinking. Could the master cylinder be bad an cause this? I have notice that the rod on the master cylinder is wet on the inside of the car above the gas pedal. Any input on this please.

Thank you

Very good starting point, replace that first.

Also check out the bottom of THIS It sounds like you clutch fork may be worn and may need to be shimmed and/or replaced.
