Today when I was driving I pushed in the clutch and heard a loud pop and felt a quick jerk and the pedal kinda pushed back against my foot for a second. I let the pedal out and pushed it down again and it was fine. I drove the car straight home and parked it. A little later I went back outside to try and figure out what happened. I start the car and push the clutch and it won't let me go into gear. Pedal pressure is perfectly fine and feels 100% normal. It doesn't make any wierd noises or anything, but pushing the pedal doesn't really do anything. From underneath you can see the slave rod extending and pushing the fork when somone is inside the car pumping the clutch, but the clutch still won't disengage. I then tried just starting the car in gear and it started rolling away with the clutch pushed to the floor. ( it's not an adjustment issue since its been working fine for a while now )

Things I am considering:

broken fork .. but then there wouldn't be any pedal pressure though right?
bad tob .. possible?
defective 2600 pressure plate .. 20000 on it and no clutch slipage at all.

Any ideas?

more or less you probably broke your clutch fork. I had the same thing happen to me. I was driving, pushed in the clutch and I heard a pop. Do this test, were the slave rod meets the fork se if you can jiggle it. if it makes a noise then its broke.

If the fork was broken then there would be no pedal pressure or almost none imo. Either way I pulled the trans today and found my act disk to have broke at the hub and a spring fall out as well as the others chewed up pretty bad. Got a new disk so today I will put the trans back in and see if everything is well again. :thumb:

What's up with ACT and broken springs? I just put in a 2100 and if springs fall out I'm gonna be pissed.

How fast where your driving when this happened etc?

Notices when I'm in 1st and shift to 2nd some times I hear a weird noise that almost sounds like what you "think" turbo surge would sound like and it's a little rough shifting into 2nd but it's only every now and then. the 1-2 shift is kinda tricky with the lightened flywheel and motor mounts, especially when the car is cold... I'm getting a stainless steel line to see if it helps.

I was driving about 10 - 15 mph deaccelerating for a stop sign and pushing in the clutch to put it in neutral. I bought a new disk today ... this one better hold up. The install was done 100% correct.
